Zero-G Flight Campaign 2 Floaters

Zero-G Flight Campaign June 2022

Two projects from the HRVIP lab flew in reduced-gravity parabolic flights for their second flight campaign in June 2022 aboard Zero-G’s G-Force One aircraft. The CHANGES and Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Reaction Wheels projects were two of 31 teams selected by NASA's Flight Opportunities Program to demonstrate novel technologies in reduced-gravity environment. Graduate student Casey Miller is the lead for the CHANGES project, while graduate students Kylie Cooper and Abhay Negi lead the HDD project. Read about the first flight campaign, technology, and teams in UC Davis Magazine's feature article: https://engineering.ucdavis.edu/news/students-fly-run-experiments-zero-gravity.
