In the 2019-2020 academic year at UC Davis, Jennifer worked on supplemental undergraduate Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering classes to boost her general engineering education. She participated in meetings related to the HOME program. In the 2020-2021, Jennifer qualified as a full-time M.S. graduate student and began working with Professor Paul Erickson related to Geothermal Energy.
