Bio

Ian Chuang is a 3rd year undergraduate studying Computer Science and Engineering at UC Davis. His interests are Robotics, AI, and Computer Vision. At HRVIP, Ian is working with Tammer Barkouki on programming and controlling dual UR5e robot arms using behavior trees and explainable AI. Last quarter, he worked with Diego Rojas and Vera Memmesheimer on performing pick and place manipulation with augmented reality. In the Summer, Ian interned at Ford in Palo Alto as an AI/ML Robotics Intern where he developed a 3D pose estimation algorithm for vehicle alignment. In his free time, he likes 3D printing, watching One Piece, and playing video games.
