Donald Wang received his B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UC Davis in 2015. He moved back to the San Francisco Bay Area and began his career in operations and manufacturing. As a manufacturing engineer at Sanmina, Donald developed CNC processes for BTP parts and supported large semiconductor equipment builds in cleanroom environments. He then became an industrial engineer at SAS Automotive and started up a greenfield Tesla Model 3 & Y cockpit assembly plant. After the successful model launch, Donald found himself back in the semiconductor industry working for Applied Materials. His role focused on standardizing metal and plastic manufacturing best practices across the company while reviewing mechanical assemblies for ‘Design for Excellence’ opportunities.
Donald now resides in Cupertino and works as a Manufacturing Design Engineer at Apple, developing cutting-edge manufacturing processes for next-generation devices. When he has spare time, he enjoys mountain biking, mindfulness, and volunteering in his local community.
