Sarah O'Meara Earns PhD
Congratulations to Dr. Sarah O'Meara for successfully earning her PhD! Dr. O'Meara's research in the HRVIP Lab focused on myoelectric control interfaces that use a single muscle site and human learning to leverage neuromuscular plasticity. Her dissertation, "Single-Site Surface Electromyography for Human-Machine Interfaces," can be found at this link. Dr. O'Meara also served as the HRVIP Lab's first Chief Scientist and has become the lab's 4th Ph.D. graduate. Dr. O'Meara will be working as a full-time engineer at NASA's Johnson Space Center.
